Valerian- Valeriana officinalis


Valerian grows best in full sun and average to wet, well-drained soils. The root is often used in making teas, tinctures, or capsules. The flowers smell sweet and pleasant, while in contrast, the roots are pungent and musty. Perennial that grows 3-5′ tall and blooms in June-July with white to pale pink flowers.
